The best time to begin a Tick control program is in Spring before Summer. But if you’re struggling with a full-blown infestation, Ticks must be controlled at every stage of their life cycle. The team at Providence Pest Control knows how to kill ticks and prevent future generations from breeding, giving you the long-term protection you deserve.
1. TICK INSPECTION
After the area has been properly prepped and people and pets are out of the rooms we will do a walk-thru. We will make sure that all belongings are off the floor and nothing is in the area that doesn’t need to be treated.
2. INTERIOR TREATMENT
Next, we will broadcast materials using a fine fan spray to ensure that areas where the ticks are hiding and where they have dropped the eggs are treated. We will follow this up with an aerosol insect growth regulator treatment in the same areas. After the treatment, we will discuss with the customer what to expect and follow up steps they should take once the areas are dry such as thoroughly vacuuming and discarding the vacuum bags outside the home.
3. EXTERIOR TREATMENT
Our exterior tick treatment involves the broadcasting of liquid residual materials onto the infested areas. All humans and pets will need to stay out of these areas for 3-4 hours or until completely dry.

Ticks are commonly brought into yards by wildlife such as deer, raccoons, rodents, and stray animals. They thrive in tall grass, wooded areas, leaf litter, and shaded landscapes. Pets and people can also unknowingly carry ticks into the home after spending time outdoors.
